Books, DVDs, ebooks & More

Your library card allows you to check out books, DVDs, and more–including tools, video games, and musical instruments–from any library in Allegheny County.  If we don’t have what you’re looking for, most items can be shipped via our daily delivery service and picked up at the Jefferson Hills Library.  Browse our catalog to discover everything you can check out from the library, all for free.

The library also offers free eBooks, eAudio, and digital magazines through the Libby and Hoopla apps.  Visit our Books & More page to learn more.


Free Internet Access

The library has six Windows computers with high speed internet access, Microsoft Office Suite, and other software programs that anyone with a library card can use.  We also offer free WiFi throughout the building and free WiFi hotspots that can be checked out for one week.  We also offer printing and photocopying services.  Cardholders can print from a library computer or their mobile device.


Free Tickets & Museum Passes

Anyone with a library card can reserve passes to several museums, historical sites, and other destinations in the Pittsburgh area.  RADPass offers free tickets to museums, lectures, and destinations like the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium.  The library also offers Experience Kits, which provide admission to seven local museums and historic sites.



eResources are available to library card holders so that your experience doesn’t end when you walk out our doors.

Read, watch, listen, or stream for free on your mobile device or eReader with e-resources like Libby (thousands of popular eBooks, eAudio, movies, and magazines) and Hoopla (books, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, comics, and music albums with no wait list).

Get free online help from live tutors for grades K-12 and college level courses on

Get timed practice AP, SAT, ACT, PSAT, and GRE exams available on Peterson’s Test and Career Prep.

Users also have access to Udemy, a learning platform for adults to upskill, advance careers, or pursue personal interests.

Other resources include Mango Languages (gain conversational skills in over 70 languages), CreativeBug (access 1000+ crafting classes), and Ancestry Library Edition (research family history and view census, vital, church, court, and immigration records). – The West Jefferson Hills Historical Society is a non-profit organization which was formed in the spring of 2000. Each month (except November and December) the WJHHS holds a meeting in the Community Rooms of Jefferson Hills Municipal Building. At these meetings the WJHHS provides its members and members of the community with a wide range of historical programs, presentations, workshops, and films. The Society also maintains a historical archive housed at the Jefferson Hills municipal building. More information can be found at
