Veterans, Please join us for a Tai Chi program designed just for you!

 Join the Jefferson Hills Public Library and Three Treasures of Bethel Park for a free four-week Tai Chi program specifically designed for veterans. Tai Chi combines slow, gentle movements, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing that can aid in the treatment of PTSD, pain management, stress, anxiety, and depression. 

Tai Chi has been shown to increase mobility, balance, and overall health as well as assist with pain management. If you are interested in attending Tai Chi classes as part of your treatment plan, join us to see if it would be right for you. An instructor from Three Treasures will guide the class through basic Tai Chi moves and practices and discuss how active and retired military personnel can incorporate the practice into their treatment. 

Tai Chi goes beyond physical exercise and helps people manage stress. Many health problems are closely related to stress such as lack of energy, high blood pressure, chronic pain, sleep disorders, and autoimmune issues. The good news is that disease is not inevitable. We can train our body and mind to release chemicals into our bloodstream that have calming effects. We can regulate our own heartbeat, slow our breathing, and relax our muscles, which will have a soothing effect on both our thoughts and emotions. The process will also dampen stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline. 

We can calm ourselves, we can recover, we can rest, and we can heal. Please encourage a friend or loved one to attend and guests are welcome!
