June 1, 4pm-6pm

We’re kicking off the summer with free food, fun, and games! Community members of all ages are invited to a summer reading sign up party at the Jefferson Hills Public Library. Enjoy a free picnic dinner and learn how you can win gift cards for reading this summer.  We’ll also have information about our in-person summer reading programs for kids and teens, crafts for kids, yard games, and other fun activities for the family.

June 30: Carnegie Museum of Natural History*
Visit with live animals from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Registration required.  Registration is limited to 30 children.

July 7: Allegheny County Parks
Learn about the aquatic wildlife in our parks and investigate animal bones and hides!

July 14: Sing-a-long and Dance Party

July 21: Allegheny County Land Trust
Learn about animal athletes and cold blooded beasts.

July 28: Ice Cream Party



June 16-August 31

Every time you visit the library and check items out between June 16 and August 31, you’ll receive a free ticket for our fabulous basket raffle.  The raffle is for community members of all ages. The more you visit the library and borrow items, the greater your chance of winning! Limit one ticket per customer per day.
