Museum passes with free admission for four! In partnership with the History Center Affiliates Program, we are offering FREE ADMISSION for up to four people to a number of museums and historical sites around Pittsburgh! In addition to your tickets, your experience kit will include more information about the venue that will help you learn more about the history of the site, and other fun things to do in the area while you’re there.
Our 2021 Experience Kit season includes admission to:
- Heinz History Center (includes complimentary admission to Fort Pitt Museum and Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village)
- Lincoln Highway Experience (includes a complimentary piece of pie and cup of coffee!)
- McKeesport Regional History & Heritage Center
- Quecreek Mine Rescue Site
- Vicary Mansion
- Zelienople Historical Society’s Passavant House

The Jefferson Hills Public Library is home to a collection of American Girl Doll Kits. Each kit includes a doll, small toy items, a book, a journal for children to document their time with the doll, and a brochure that describes what Pittsburgh was like during the doll’s time period.
Each doll kit can be checked out for one week. The kit must be checked out at and returned to the Jefferson Hills Public Library. Dolls are first come, first served. Holds cannot be placed on the dolls.

Our Preschool Grab Bags include four books, a learning manipulative (like a toy, puzzle, or puppet), and a tip sheet for caregivers. The Grab Bags are a great way to teach preschoolers about various topics and provide ideas for activities that help children learn.

Go on an outdoor adventure with your child with our Nature Explorers Backpack! Our Insects backpack includes magnifying glasses, a butterfly net, a magnifying bug viewer, four Pocket Naturalist Guides to various insects, and a tip sheet for caregivers.

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services and the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging provides caregiver backpacks that include valuable resources and information for people caring for their loved ones at home. Backpacks can be checked out at any Allegheny County library.
Jefferson Hills Library has several WiFi Hotspots available for check out for free at the library. A hotspot is a wireless access device that provides an internet connection from anywhere with T-mobile cell phone service.
Hotspots can be checked out for one week. The hotspot must be checked out at and returned to the Jefferson Hills Public Library. Holds cannot be placed on hotspots.
